Cognitive Psychology allows a person to look online, since this kind of stuff has been studied. You can look online and find your kid’s age to see if they are where they should be. Then you won’t have to think about it too much or stress your kid out. I think that kids should get to play too. Actually, one of my psychology teachers said last semester, in child development class, that children learn by playing. Isn’t that cool? I saw a bunch of educational learning games at the store the other day. I was looking for stuff to buy for my nephew for his birthday. I think about all the toys I saw were for learning. But they looked fun! And they were sold with those in the same developmental stage. What I mean is the toys were grouped with the other toys for a certain age. Like there were toys for 6 month olds, and 2 year olds, and 3 year olds… the study of cognitions, or thoughts, is called cognitive psychology and I’m real grateful for it. Otherwise we wouldn’t know what kids like, and we might get them toys they think are boring and won’t play with. I think it’s important to let kids have fun, because they like to play a lot. At least the kids I know do.
